Thank you for stopping in! I am Melissa, the 'renovator' behind Renovating519. We are located in Southwestern Ontario in Guelph, Ontario Canada in the area code of 519!

 I love anything home decor related when it comes to design. I am really pulled towards decorating with a modern country trend. I love anything weathered. The older looking the better! I am drawn to items that can be easily combined to make lovely vignettes. 

A few random facts about me! 

I love tea. I mean L-O-V-E tea. I drink it every day. Sometimes twice x 3!

Foghorns remind me of my childhood. Fall asleep while hearing to warn fisherman of impending danger while out on the lake. Its my personal treasure.

My grandma loved to crochet. Well into her 80's, seeing double on the stitches, she could pick out a mistake from a room away. And, she would make you rip it apart and start again. Yes. I just said that. 

I love banana splits. So much, I'm sure I dream about them in my sleep. My family would think nothing of driving 40 minutes away to Hewitt's Ice Cream in Hagersville, Ontario Canada....just to get one. Then turn around and drive back. Cuz that's how we roll.

I am gone and out the door every Saturday morning in the summer before the rooster rises. It is, after all, yard sale season. 

I have a sarcastic sense of humor and my children inherited that trait from me. No lie. 

I love anything old. Weathered. I'm sure it tells a story. 

I tried my hand at a lemonade stand once as a little girl. I loved every minute of it, even if I did drink all the profit before it was sold. I picked the hottest day of the year. 

My cat is like a third child in the family. So much, that at times we refer to him as 'the boy'

I wear slippers. All.The.Time.
